Meaning the Hadith "Do not stand until you see me in front of you"

Q: Whilst at a Musjid in Pietermaritzburg recently, I read on the board the following Hadith: “Do not stand until you see me in front of you.” Does this refer to Musallees not standing before the Imam is on his Mussallah?

A: In other words, the muqtadees should only stand up after they have seen the imaam before them.
